our procedure

Once you have decided to choose us to take on the project of constructing your website, below is a rough guideline on what is required from both parties.

1. ANALYZE WHAT'S NEEDED FOR YOUR WEBSITE:
Will there be any special features needed, i.e. flash animation, emailer etc.?

How many pages are necessary and how will it be categorized?

What type of "feel" would you like the webpage to emit? Who are your target audience?

Which elements would you like to be similar or different from you competition's?

At this time, it would also be in your benefit to send us images and text files of what you would like included in your website.

It would also be to your advantage at this point to think about other website issues such as domain name purchasing and webhosting service subscription. Atomic Media offers these services which are not automatically included unless you are subscribing from one of our packages.

2. FIRST MOCKUP AND APPROVAL:
Atomic Media will send one or two (two if a package is ordered) image or webpage drafts to illustrate what our designers have envisioned for your website regarding the "feel" and organization. The designer will carry on with the project using the chosen mockup when approved, otherwise revisions will be made according to the client's wishes.

3. CONSTRUCTION OF YOUR SITE:
Our designer will then be in constant communication with you regarding the progress of your website. We will provide you with a login information so you may view the progress history of your website, you may also request an URL in which you can view the latest changes made to your website. Communication, especially through email is critical at this point; your designer will keep all emails exchanged and comments submitted through the control panel to keep track of all the revisions you request.

4. IMPLEMENTATION OF YOUR WEBSITE:

Medium sized websites (5-10 pages) typically take 4-6 weeks to construct. However, completion is determined when both the designer and the client are satisfied with the website. Your website will then be submitted to several major search engines.

5. UPDATES AND REVAMP
Your website is your informational and marketing tool online, hence, it should change as often as the signs in your window display; keep your online customers up to date with your new products, offers, promotions, and services. Included in some of our packages are monetary credits for an update per month for several months. However, although your update credit has expired content updates are only $40CDN per hour.
